STEP 1: Ingredients
For the Mushroom & cabbage fritters (Manchurian)
- Mushrooms: 200 grams, finely chopped
- Cabbage: 1 cup, finely chopped
- Red chili powder: ½ teaspoon
- Cornflour: 3 tablespoons
- All-Purpose Flour (Maida): 2 tablespoons
- Salt: To taste
- Pepper: ½ teaspoon
- Oil: For frying
Instructions
Prepare the Manchurian Balls
- In a bowl, combine chopped mushrooms, cornflour, all-purpose flour, salt, and pepper.
- Form Balls: Mix well and form small balls with the mixture.
- Fry: Heat oil in a pan and fry the balls until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.

For the Gravvy- Ingredients
- Onion: 1 large, finely chopped
- Tomato: 1 medium, pureed
- Ginger-Garlic Paste: 1 tablespoon
- Green Chilies: 2, slit
- Turmeric Powder: ½ teaspoon
- Red Chili Powder: 1 teaspoon
- Garam Masala: 1 teaspoon
- Mustard Seeds: ½ teaspoon
- Curry Leaves: A handful
- Oil: 2 tablespoons
- Salt: To taste
- Fresh Coriander: For garnish
Instructions
- Heat Oil: In a pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds. Once they splutter, add curry leaves.
- Sauté Onions: Add chopped onions. Sauté until onions are translucent.
- Add Ginger-Garlic Paste: Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute.
- Tomatoes and Spices: Add pureed tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes soften.
- Mushroom Manchurian: Add Prepared Mushroom fritters. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until mushrooms are tender.
- Garam Masala: Sprinkle garam masala and stir. Cook for another 2 minutes.
- Garnish: Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot.
